His Beatitude Patriarch John X meets the parish council and a group of the Greek community in Muscat - Sultanate of Oman

Within the framework of his pastoral visit to Muscat - Sultanate of Oman, His Beatitude Patriarch John X met the Parish Council, as well as the children of Sunday Schools in Muscat - Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Ghattas Hazim (Archdiocese of Baghdad, Kuwait and Dependencies), Metropolitan Efraim Maalouli (Archdiocese of Aleppo, Alexandretta and Dependencies), and Bishops Gregory Khoury (Patriarchal Vicar), and Arsanios Dahdal along with a group of priests and deacons.
 
First, the parishioners shared their concerns and problems with His Beatitude and expressed their future aspirations towards their visions at various levels, considering His Beatitude visit as a sign of hope for the Church.
 
In turn, His Beatitude responded to their questions, praising the work of the parish council, that works in a spirit of love and cooperation, in a regular presence, support to the community and commitment.
 
His Beatitude affirmed that the small parish is measured by its actions, as it grows in its unity, cohesion, cooperation and solidarity, praising the resilience of the parishioners and their adherence to their values and families, which are the fundamentals to build a society.
 
His Beatitude also referred to the difficulties and challenges that the community might face, but that can be transformed into abundant blessings by the watchful eye of the Archdiocese: His Eminence Metropolitan Ghattas (Hazim) and Archimandrite Dimitri Mansour.
 
In this context, His Beatitude also met a group of the Greek community that expressed their pride in this historic visit, for the moral support and great hope it gives to the whole community.
 
In turn, His Beatitude thanked the members of the Greek community for their love for the Antiochian Orthodox Church, stressing the depth of the historical ties that bind the two churches, emphasizing the need for cooperation and devotion of love to build one family.
