Patriarch John X in Latakia

The Archdiocese of Latakia and its dependencies welcomed His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, and his accompanying delegation.

Metropolitan Athanasios (Fahd) of Latakia and its dependencies came forth to welcome His Beatitude at the episcopal residence in the presence of Metropolitan Ephraim (Maalouli) of Aleppo and its dependencies, with a group of priests of the archdiocese, members of the parish council, and a number of faithful.

This visit to Latakia comes prior to His Beatitude’s departure with the delegation to the Turkish border, for a pastoral visit to the faithful of the Antiochian Church in Antioch, Hatay, and Mersin. The visit includes the consecration of Archimandrite Paul Orduluoğlu as bishop.
