In a paternal spirit, the Fathers of the Holy Antiochian Synod resumed the sessions of their sixteenth synodical term, presided over by His Beatitude. The discussions and dialogues addressed general Orthodox affairs and emerging developments across the Orthodox world, with the participation of Very Reverend Archimandrite Porphyrios Georgi and Dr. Michel Abs, Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches.
Grounded in reverence for the priesthood, and out of commitment to secure a decent livelihood for those who have dedicated themselves to this ministry, the Fathers of the Synod deliberated on the matter of the clergy’s livelihood.
As the Fathers of the Holy Synod continue to examine the remaining points on their agenda tomorrow, let us continue to pray for them to the glory of God’s name, the edification of the Church, and the well-being of its people.
