A Divine Liturgy in Kamishlie
A Divine Liturgy celebrated by the Orthodox Church in Kamishlie North east of Syria
August 26-2017
With the blessing and guidance of his Beatitude John X the Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East his Rev. Archimandrite Alexi Shhade the director of the Ecumenical Relationship and Development Office celebrated the Divine Liturgy on Saturday August 26-2017 in Kamishlie a north-east city in Syria of the province of Al Hasaka and hundreds of people from the Orthodox Church participated in the Liturgy.
In his sermon Rev. Archimandrite Alexi expressed his Beatitude’s love, blessings and prayers assuring the patriarch’s fatherly, personal and intimate caring for his spiritual children in the region and promising to carry their demands and wishes to his Beatitude in order to continue serving their spiritual needs.
Out of sincere love to his spiritual children his Beatitude had sent a financial amount of money as a blessing to them. Archimandrite Alexi distributed it on behalf of his Beatitude.
The faithful expressed their gratitude and thanks in return to his Beatitude’s attitude assuring their belonging to the Antiochian Church besides their determination to stay and live in their homeland despite all the hard circumstances and difficulties.
