Patriarch John X receives the Metropolitan of the British Isles and Ireland “We emphasize the importance of an active presence of the Antiochian Church in all countries.”

Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, John X stressed the importance of an Antiochian presence and the essential role played by the Antiochian archdioceses nationwide and overseas.
His Beatitude uttered these words while receiving Metropolitan Silouan Oner, Metropolitan of the British Isles and Ireland, at the Patriarchate in Damascus. The meeting touched on the challenges and prospects of church ministry in light of the present situation. His Beatitude also received a brief by His Eminence on the situation of the Antiochian parishes in the Archdiocese.
