Patriarch John X makes a phone call to the Patriarch of Serbia:

John X, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East for the Greek Orthodox, stressed the importance of embodying and activating the ecclesiastical communion of faith with the sister Orthodox Churches. These churches confront the challenges that are facing the Church's path in a world floundering in conflicts. The Patriarch's words came in a phone call to Patriarch Porphyrios of Serbia. During the call, the Patriarchs discussed the general situation of the Church in Serbia and the Middle East as well as at the pan-Orthodox level. They both stressed the need to emphasize the mentality of dialogue and encounter to avoid the repercussions political dissensions, which cast their shadows on the Church and societies. The two sides also called for working to establish peace and reject the logic of war that exhausts people first and foremost. The two Patriarchs stopped on the events in Palestine, calling to put an end to the war that is shedding Palestinian blood in Gaza.
