With the blessing of Patriarch John X, Patriarchal Vicar Bishop Romanos (Al-Hannat) and Patriarchal Assistant Bishop Moussa (Al-Khasi) received Mrs. Najat Rushdi, Deputy of the UN Special Envoy to Syria Mr. Geir Pedersen and the accompanying delegation at the Patriarchate in Damascus.

The meeting touched on the aspects of partnership in building Syria as a homeland for all its children on the basis of citizenship under a free and democratic constitution, with emphasis on the importance of preserving human dignity, civil peace and supporting the needs of the people.
