His Majesty, king of Bahrain, receives His Beatitude John X in a private meeting

His Majesty, king Hamad Bin Issa Al-Khalifa, with many officials in the kingdom, received at his royal palace in Manamah His Beatitude John X Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.

His Beatitude was accompanied by His Eminence Isaac (Barakat) Metropolitan of Germany and Central Europe, and His Grace Efraim (Maalouli) the patriarchal vicar.

This meeting was a suitable occasion in which His Majesty emphasized on the importance of settling the spirit of tolerance and accepting the other everywhere, rejecting extremism and terrorism which are strange of our historical existence, Christians and Muslims, in this East, supporting peace in each country. On the other hand, His Beatitude emphasized on the spirit of fraternity that distinguished our existence, Muslims and Christians, and which represents the most valuable treasure that we should preserve for God’s sake. And this spirit is the only fact that may support our countries everywhere.
