His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, received Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa, Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic, at the head of a delegation at the Patriarchate in Damascus. The Secretary-General conveyed the Christmas and New Year greetings of President Ahmad Al-Sharaa, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, to His Beatitude and to the faithful of the Antiochian Orthodox Church.

His Beatitude, in turn, expressed his gratitude to President Al-Sharaa, wishing that the new year may bring goodness and tranquility to Syria.
