Prime Minister Najib Mikati Condoles Patriarch John X:
“We stand by you and assert our solidarity with the Church of Antioch. We ask for mercy for the martyrs of St. Elias Church in Douilaa and healing for the wounded.”

His Beatitude John X,Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, received former Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati at the patriarchal residence in Balamand. During the meeting, His Excellency conveyed his condolences to the Patriarch regarding the martyrs of St. Elias Church in Douilaa–Damascus. He asserted his support and fraternal solidarity with His Beatitude and the Church of Antioch.
Prime Minister Mikati stressed the need to strengthen Christian-Muslim unity and to foster a spirit of tolerance and coexistence during these difficult times marked by sectarian tension. His Beatitude thanked Prime Minister Mikati for his humanitarian stance and emphasized the importance of promoting tolerance.
