His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, received Father Andraos Al-Antouni, head of the Coptic Orthodox community in Syria and Lebanon, delegated by Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark. Father Andraos conveyed to His Beatitude the condolences of the Coptic Orthodox Church, represented by His Holiness the Pope, for the martyrs of St. Elias Church – Douaila, Damascus.

On behalf of His Holiness, Father Andraos expressed the solidarity of the Coptic Orthodox faithful with the people of the Antiochian Church, in the current challenges and dire circumstances facing Syria and the region. In turn, His Beatitude thanked His Holiness for his brotherly solidarity and sincere condolences, highlighting the deep bond that unites both Churches.
