The Patriarch of Antioch and All the East of the Greek Orthodox, John X expressed his appreciation of the role of the Orthodox National Scouts, stressing the contribution of the scouting movement in raising and preparing a committed and refined generation. The Patriarch uttered this statement upon receiving the delegation of the General Command of the Orthodox National Scouts, headed by Commander-in-Chief Pierre Salloum, at the Patriarchal Residence in Balamand. Bishop Arsenios Dahdal also attended the meeting. During the meeting, the ongoing preparations for holding the World Scout Jamboree in Byblos in 2025 were discussed. The meeting was an occasion to present the current situation and future aspirations of the Orthodox National Scouts as well as their experience in the field of scouting, a movement that seeks to consolidate the values of tolerance and commitment.
