Statement by the Antiochian Orthodox Media Center

The Antiochian Orthodox Media Center would like to clarify that the declarations appearing recently in the international media regarding the position of the Antiochian Church on general Orthodox issues, and particularly about the Ukrainian issue and its implications, represent only the position of those who are giving them. The Center asserts that any statement that is not issued by the Center does not express the views of the Antiochian Patriarch and of the Antiochian Holy Synod, and has nothing to do with the position of the Church of Antioch, especially when it affects Church authorities.

 

Ανακοινωθέν του Ορθοδόξου Αντιοχειανού Κέντρου Ενημερώσεως

Το Ορθόδοξο Αντιοχειανό Κέντρο Ενημερώσεως υπογραμμίζει ότι οι απόψεις που διαδίδονται στα ξένα Μέσα Ενημερώσεως σχετικά με τη θέση του Πατριαρχείου Αντιοχείας σε ό, τι αφορά Πανορθόδοξα ζητήματα, γενικά, και ειδικότερα το θέμα της Ουκρανίας με τις επιπτώσεις του, αποτελούν προσωπικές απόψεις όσων τις διατυπώνουν και όχι της Εκκλησίας της Αντιοχείας. Επίσης υπενθυμίζει ότι οποιαδήποτε δήλωση, η οποία δεν εκδίδεται από το Κέντρο Ενημερώσεως, δεν εκπροσωπεί ούτε τον Μακαριώτατο Πατριάρχη Αντιοχείας ούτε την Ιερά Σύνοδο και ως εκ τούτου καμία σχέση δεν έχει με τις θέσεις της Εκκλησίας της Αντιοχείας, ειδικά όταν τέτοιες δηλώσεις προσβάλλουν υψηλά εκκλησιαστικά πρόσωπα.
