HB John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, received Mrs. Despina Koukolopoulou, the Greek Ambassador to Lebanon, at the Patriarchal Residence at Balamand. The meeting discussed the historical relations between the government, church and people of Greece with the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and the All the East. They also deliberated over ways of cooperation, the general situation in the region, and present-day issues. The military attaché of the Greek Embassy, Mr. Nicholas Salpingidis, together with Rev. Archimandrites George Yacoub, Abbot of the Patriarchal Monastery Our Lady of Balamand and Yacoub Khalil, Dean of the Saint John of Damascus Institute of Theology - University of Balamand also attended the reception.
