His Beatitude Patriarch John X met with members of the Ladies' Societies in the parishes of the city of Damascus, in the halls of the Church of the Holy Cross.

The meeting emphasized the need to reject fear and show courage and quietude as children of faith during the current stage. It highlighted the importance of staying united as one hand and one word to face any obstacles, which ensures the correct stances of believers in their families, church and communities. We should also convey this awareness to our people so that the church is not merely a commodity for the media. Then a discussion took place: the ladies expressed their concerns and thoughts, stressing that Syria has always been one family living together with all denominations and components, and seeking to establish this in a consensual constitution that guarantees the right of citizenship for all its children.
