His Eminence, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Damaskinos (Mansour)
Born in Damascus, Syria, in 1949, he was ordained a deacon in 1974 and a priest in 1975 and elevated to the rank of Archimandrite in 1984. He was ordained in 1992 a Bishop of Edessa and served as the Vicar of the Metropolitan of Sao Paolo. He became a member of the Central Committee of WCC from 2006 to 2013. He was elected a Metropolitan in the year 1997.
