At the invitation of Father George Sergeyev, representative of the Russian Church in Turkey, Bishop Paul Orduluoğlu, heading a delegation that included priests and association presidents, visited the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Mersin. His Grace was received by Father George Sergeyev, representative of the Russian Church in Turkey, Father Palladiy Bystrov, priest of the plant’s church, and Mr. Marsel Terekine, Deputy Director of the Plant. Bishop Paul celebrated the Divine Liturgy, concelebrated by priests from both churches, at the plant’s church. Following the prayer, a meeting was held discussing the historical relationship between the two churches and ways to rebuild the churches damaged by the 2023 earthquake.
