Balamand, December 16, 2023

His Beatitude Patriarch John X presided over the ordination service of His Eminence, the Most Rev. Antonios Saad Archbishop of Bosra, Houran, and Jabal al-Arab, in the presence of the Most Reverend Metropolitans: Elias (Tyre and Sidon), Silouan (Mount Lebanon), Basilios (Akkar), Ephrem (Tripoli), Antonios (Zahle), Nicolas (Hama), Athanasios (Lattakia), Ephrem (Aleppo), Gregorios (Homs), and their Graces, the Most Reverend bishops: Romanos (El- Hannat), Moses (Al-Khoury), Demetrios (Sherback), Konstantin (Kayyal), Ioannis (Batach), Arsenios (Dahdah), and Moses (Al-Khossi), assisted in their service by a group of priests and deacons.
At the end of the divine liturgy, His Beatitude blessed the new bishop, placing the episcopal crown on his head and handing him the pastoral staff.
The newly ordained metropolitan addressed his new archdiocese, reflecting on the historical significance of the region that witnessed the glory of the Lord. He sought the support of the members of the Holy Synod of Antioch through their prayers for the welfare of the archdiocese.
His Eminence Antonios then received congratulations in the monastery's salon in the presence of the venerable metropolitans.
