His Beatitude John X puts the foundation stone for a new church in Abu-Dhabi.

“To be built (this church) for the glory of our great Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for the honoring and the memory of the Prophet Elias, on the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen”.

“The most High founded it. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved”.

By these words His Beatitude John X crowned the efforts of the parishioners in Abu-Dhabi, putting the foundation stone for a new church.

In the area of Al-Musaffah, with the participation of the parishioners, His Beatitude John X put the foundation stone for the church of St. Elias in Abu-Dhabi.

After the foundation prayer and putting the Holy Cross, His Beatitude held a speech in which he offered thanks to the state for all the facilities that it offered.  

His Beatitude emphasized on the spirit of peace, fraternity and tolerance that gathers all under the protection of God.

At the end, He prayed so the efforts may result fast in order to celebrate the inauguration of the church very soon.
