The Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Dr. Abdel Qader Husariyeh, stressed the importance of building confidence in the economy to support the new Syrian currency and to establish a solid Syrian economy. He uttered this speech during a lecture organized by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, held in the Halls of the Holy Cross in Qassaa, Damascus, in the presence of Patriarch John X. The lecture addressed the role assigned to issuing the new currency in advancing the economic process and improving living conditions.
