Looking for hope in the beautiful and innocent voices of children, a musical evening entitled "Our Songs of Prayer" was held on the occasion of His Beatitude Patriarch John X visit to Muscat - Sultanate of Oman.
The evening was attended by His Beatitude, Their Eminences the Metropolitans, Priests, Deacons and members of the Archdiocese as well as other invitees.

During the evening, the children of the Orthodox Sunday Schools in the parish of Muscat sang hymns that embraced with the welcome Anthem composed especially by Yara Hanna for welcoming His Beatitude.
Love was shown among persistence and authenticity of faith.

As for the second part of the evening, it included plays by the Scout regiment of St. John the Baptist - Kuwait, conducted by leader of the orchestra, Omar Al-Rahbani, and the presence of the leader of the group, Fadi Al-Tali. The music represented the culture and traced the heritage of fathers and ancestors.

At the end of the evening, His Beatitude addressed the children, young men and women, and the participants: “Our gathering this evening reminds me of the evangelical verse: “Here I am and the children God has given me”. It also emphasizes the families’ cohesion and the upbringing of children on the love of the Church and God”.

His Beatitude added: “My dears, the family is a fundamental pillar in our societies, our homelands and our church, and we felt during our visit the true meaning of one family, which confirms that wherever we are, nothing separates us from each other and from the love of God, therefore, you must keep this faith forever”.
His Beatitude concluded: “I thank the children and the scout regiment one by one, and I praise their outstanding performance and I wish them more continuity, and I ask the Lord to protect them and protect everyone so that this country remains a symbol of peace and love, and let me stress that this visit was recorded in the history of Antioch, Antioch the witness of truth and the Holy Bible”.
