His Eminence, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Saba (Isber)
Born in Lattakia, Syria, in 1959, he holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tishreen in Lattakia, and a Bachelor of Theology from the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology in Balamand. He was ordained a priest in 1988 and served in the parish of the Archangels in the Archdiocese of Lattakia. He was then consecrated a bishop in 1998, and elected a Metropolitan in 1999.
